Your journey begins at 8:00 AM as you depart from your riad or hotel in Marrakech. You'll venture into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the awe-inspiring Tizi n'Tichka pass, en route to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Explore this historic site and enjoy lunch on-site. Continue your excursion towards the Merzouga desert via the Ouarzazate route, with a visit to the Kasbah Taourirte. Drive through Skoura and its Mille Kasbahs, passing through the Rose Valley before arriving in the Dades Valley, where you'll visit the Ait Youl Kasbah. Explore the Dades Gorges and spend the night at a hotel in Dades.
After breakfast, set out to reach the Toudgha Gorges and continue on to Erfoud through the palm groves of Tinjdad, with a stop for lunch. In Erfoud, visit a fossil production workshop and then embark on the Merzouga track towards the Erg Chebbi Dunes. Here, exchange your 4x4 vehicle for camels and traverse the dunes to spend the night under the starry desert sky in a camp. Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation in tents.
Following breakfast, ride camels back to the hotel along the dune line for a quick shower. Begin your journey towards Fes, making a stop along the way to admire panoramic views over the Ziz Valley before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once more. Pause in Midelt for lunch, then continue your drive through Azrou, known for its extensive cedar wood forest and resident monkeys. Your journey concludes in the legendary city of Fes.
