Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Fez. The journey begins with a drive to Merzouga, passing through several fascinating stops along the way. First, you'll visit Ifrane, a charming town known for its European-style architecture and cleanliness. Continue to Azrou, where you can explore the largest cedar forest in Morocco and encounter wild monkeys, making it a great opportunity for photographs.
Afterward, you'll have a break in Midelt for lunch before proceeding towards the Saharan desert. As you approach Erfoud, you'll start to notice the desert landscape emerging. Continue to Rissani, a town located on the outskirts of the desert, and then head into the Merzouga desert. Here, you'll begin your camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi, guided by local desert experts.
Riding a camel through the dunes as the sun sets is a magical experience. You'll reach your desert camp, where you'll spend the night in a traditional Berber tent. Dinner will be served at the camp, allowing you to savor Moroccan cuisine under the starry desert sky.
Begin your day with an early morning wake-up call to catch the mesmerizing sunrise over the Sahara Desert from the top of a sand dune. This experience offers an incredible view that you'll remember for a lifetime. Afterward, enjoy breakfast at the desert camp.
Once you've refreshed, you'll ride camels back to Merzouga, where you can take a shower at the hotel. Afterward, you'll start your journey back to Fez. The return trip takes you through various scenic landscapes, including the Ziz Valley, Medilt, Azrou, and Ifrane. Arrive in Ifrane in the afternoon, often referred to as "Little Switzerland of Morocco," and finally return to Fez.
