Begin your adventure after breakfast as you embark on a private tour from Marrakech into the desert of Zagora, traveling in an SUV or luxury Minivan. Your journey will take you through Berber villages and over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters. As you traverse the mountains and witness the changing scenery and dramatic landscapes, you'll arrive at the 17th-century World Heritage-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Explore this captivating site, complete with its fortified palaces, alongside a knowledgeable local guide. Near the Kasbah, pause for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue your journey to Ouarzazate, where you can capture images of the historic UNESCO-listed Kasbah Taourirt. From there, head south toward Zagora, passing through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs and Morocco's largest palm grove, covering approximately 185 kilometers. Upon arrival in Zagora, enjoy a refreshing mint tea, relax, and prepare for the next camel adventure. Marvel at the stunning sunset over the small dunes and the palm grove. After an hour-long camel ride, you'll reach your final destination, a desert camp in the heart of nowhere, where you'll spend a memorable night under a nomadic Berber tent.
Rise early to savor a breathtaking sunrise behind the mountains and small dunes of the Zagora desert. Enjoy a traditional breakfast, followed by a camel ride back to your hotel in Zagora. After freshening up, return to Marrakech, retracing your steps through the Draà Valley and the village of Agdez. Make a stop to explore the 500-year-old Kasbah Tamnouggalte, considered the region's first Kasbah. Cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains and reach Ouarzazate, where you can opt to visit the movie studios. Continue your journey towards Marrakech, with a lunch break at a typical restaurant a few kilometers past Ouarzazate. After lunch, cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass before arriving back in Marrakech, where you'll be dropped off at your accommodation.
